The Dec/Jan issue is taking shape, and it's a very fine creation. Next week will be packed full of test riding as we have some sweet 160mm travel bikes for the next shootout. We will also clean our desks, and continue piecing together the 'Places That Rock' special feature. We love our jobs.

Aaaarrgh! Deadline!
It's that wonderful week again...deadline is tomorrow! We hate these weeks. Sure there is something quite exciting about seeing the mag finally come together, but the spell checking, price and contact chasing, photo captioning and (worst of all) rides put on hold can be a killer! You guys are going to love the next issue - it is packed with awesomeness. There's a massive World Cup special feature; Tour de Arnhem Land (Mick's 740km adventure through the top end); an interview with Gary Fisher; a hardtail shootout...and much more. Plus it looks great - there has been a lot of design tweakage, and we think you'll dig it.
We're flat out with some other special projects at the moment too. In mid November we begin shooting for the AMB How To DVD! Yep, a full-blown, hour long DVD jam packed with riding tips will be coming your way pretty darn soon. Of course the Places That Rock Special Edition is underway too - we have had a great response to our request for local clubs to tell us more about their trails. It certainly has us all inspired to get out of the office and explore some new dirt...just as soon as deadline is past of course.

Places That Rock Special Edition
AMB will be releasing a very special edition in only two months time, featuring almost 50 fantastic riding locations all over Australia. On sale mid December, the PTR Special Edition is going to be the definitive guide to Australia's best mountain biking destinations. It's going to be rad. Oh yeah.

SCOTT 24, done and dusted!
Wow, what a weekend, 2399 riders, 2399 crazy stories. Just ask us, we have plenty. Our 6 man team (6 1/2 really.. Chris rode faster than any of us creating the half man, he pinned it!) cruised through the 24 hours with ease and impeccable organisation. We are already writing up the stories, and an A-Z of 24hr racing for the Dec/Jan issue, funny stuff. Hope everyone had a great time, can't wait until next year!

Countdown til the 24hr...
Not long now 'til the Scott 24hr at Mt. Stromlo! Got to say, we're pretty excited! We'll have a six man team - a mixture of old guys and new dudes - and we're going to suffer. We love Mt. Stromlo.
A friens just read out to us that some construction company in Dubai is building a tower that will be one kilometre tall. Does that seem a tad ridiculous to anyone else?

Riding the new Pivot Mach 4
First ride on the new Pivot 4" rig. Ultra light, stiff, and sharp, the Pivot is a little ripper. Hold on tight, these new bikes will definitely impress when they hit our shores soon.
